Frequently asked questions
Is Daily Grapple free?
Yes. Everything in the game is free. There is an optional one-time Supporter Pack (see below) that adds cosmetics only.
When does the daily course change?
At 00:00 UTC every day. The weekly championship changes on Monday at 00:00 UTC.
Is the map really the same for everyone?
Yes. The course is generated from the date by the same code for every player, and no network connection is needed to build it. The server uses that same code to check runs.
Can I play on my phone?
Yes. On touch screens the game shows on-screen buttons. It plays best with the phone sideways, and phone runs share the leaderboards with computer runs.
Do I need an account?
No. You can play everything without one. An optional sign-in with an email address (no password, just a six-digit code) lets you keep the same player across browsers and devices. A linked Discord account can bring your player back in a new browser too.
My time did not appear on the leaderboard. Why?
Only finished runs count, and only your best time of the day is shown. If you were offline, the run could not be sent. Very unusual runs are held for a manual check before they appear.
Who are the BOT players?
Practice runners that show possible routes. They are drawn by your own game, never reach the server and never appear on a leaderboard. You can turn them off in Settings (Practice runners).
What languages does it support?
English and Spanish. The language can be changed in Settings.
What is the Supporter Pack?
A one-time purchase that supports development: a heart after your name on the boards, two extra colours (Gold and Ruby) and two extra faces (Stars and Hearts), and a Supporter role on Discord. It never changes how the game plays. It is linked to a signed-in account so it is never lost.
Where can I talk to other players?
In the game's chat, on the Daily Grapple Discord, and on r/DailyGrapple, where daily results are posted.
I found a bug.
