About Daily Grapple

A tiny daily browser speedrun where everyone gets the same grappling course. Same map, higher skill.

Daily Grapple is made by one independent developer, efematttt. The idea is simple: one short course a day, the same for everyone, that is understood in seconds and can be improved for as long as you like. Attempts are short and restarts are instant, so "one more try" is always a key press away.

How the courses are made

Each course is generated from the date. The generator first lays down a chain of hooks that is guaranteed to reach the flag, checked by simulating the swings, and only then adds platforms, optional hooks and hazards around it. The result is a course that is always possible, never the same twice, and identical on every computer. Four visual themes, Classic, Foundry, Peaks and Scrapyard, also change which pieces a course favours.

Fair leaderboards

Every submitted run carries a compact replay. The server checks it with the game's own physics and course code, compiled from the same source as the game, before the time is accepted. The game stores no IP addresses or device fingerprints: see the privacy policy.

Always changing

The game has had 80 releases since the first daily course on 2026-09-20, from new hooks and modes to the map editor. Every one of them is listed in the devlog.

Built with

Haxe and HaxeFlixel for the game, running in any modern browser, with a small server on Cloudflare for the leaderboards, ghosts and rooms.
